OVERVIEW

The Discovery Children's Choir

We are bringing back The Musaic Choir! Our last choral performance was February 2020 and, well, we all know why there hasn't been a choral presences until NOW! There is NOTHING quite like being part of a choir! You don't have to be a vocal student to join choir, you just have to love singing! Here are five great reasons to join the Musaic Choir.

  1. Singing in a choir cultivates teamwork and cooperation. Children learn how to work together to achieve a common goal, as well as how to support and depend on one another.

  2. Choir singing is a great way for children to develop their vocal skills, as well as learn proper techniques and improve their range.

  3. Singing in a choir improves children's confidence and self-esteem. Performing in front of an audience gives them the chance to express themselves in a positive manner.

  4. Singing in a choir is a fun and creative way for children to socialize and interact with others. It allows them to learn new songs, make new friends, and build a strong sense of community.

  5. Being part of a choir helps children to learn about different cultures and musical genres. It also encourages them to explore their own musical tastes and develop an appreciation for music.

The Discovery Choir is open to singers aged 7 - 15. All choir rehearsals will take place at Musaic School of Music at 2501 Rutherford Road, Unit 37, in Vaughan. Music selection will be a comprehensive cross section including contemporary, musical theatre, pop and classical. Singers will learn fun and challenging vocal warm ups, rhythmic patterns and ear training technics. The Discovery Choir will be expected to perform for a live audience during the term. Music scores are provided, all you have to do is bring a bottle of water and your voice!

*Musaic reserves the right to cancel the program due to low enrollment
