CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Musaic School of Music is an avid member of the Vaughan community; our students participate in all kinds of exciting events across the city. Be sure to check out our calendar of upcoming events, as well as our quarterly newsletter! Below are some of our biggest involvements.
American Guild of Music
The American Guild of Music is the world's oldest international music organization. With over 5,000 members, representing every instrument, the AGM is an exciting and dynamic organization. Competitions take place on both American and Canadian soil, giving students an opportunity to travel and experience new places. Each contest is structured to be a positive experience, so that every student has a chance to succeed no matter what his or her ability or how long they have studied their instrument.
SantaFest Parade
Since 2016, Musaic School of Music has been participating in Maple's annual SantaFest Parade. In the weeks leading up to the parade, students learn festive repertoire to perform along the parade route. The 3 km parade begins at Canada’s Wonderland and travels eastbound along Major Mackenzie, ending at Vaughan City Hall.
Oscar Night
This is an exciting and entertaining evening as Musaic Students perform songs from Oscar winning and nominated songs spanning the Oscar's history. Musaic students sing and dance their way through movie history and share their love for music with family and friends. Oscar Night takes place annually at the Richview Manor Retirement Residence! Don't miss the fun! Check our calendar for upcoming Oscar Night events!
Community Service Events
Musaic students have been sharing their love of music with our community partners for the past 15 years. Community service concerts give students the opportunity to hone their performance skills while sharing their talents with members of the community. Events include, holiday rejoice concerts, Oscar Night Celebration, as well as quarterly community service concerts.
Vaughan Film Festival
Musaic School of Music is honored to be involved with the Vaughan Film Festival. In previous Vaughan Film Festival showcases, Musaic students have performed Oscar winning songs as part of the entertainment during the awards ceremony. This is an exciting opportunity for Musaic students to show people in the entertainment industry just how talented the young people of Vaughan really are.
